How to Build a Web Audience

It's a tragedy when so much time and money is spent on a movie or a web series and after its release there is nary a mention of it.  No audience, no word of mouth, nothing. 

What is the point of making a movie or web content if you forget that an audience must be built, lured, and even loved, to get your project noticed and taken to a higher level.

Filmmaker Chris Sharpe has taken the skills that he has gained from producing and directing the cooking web series, Hilah Cooking, and is sharing what he has learned on how they built an audience for the show.  It's highly recommend read.  Go here to learn more.

FOOD PARTY

I'm quite late in discovering this weird gem but other blogs have done a better job at mentioning this unique and brilliant show. It's called FOOD PARTY and it's a food show meets puppets in a world similar to Pee Wee Herman's fun house but stranger and dare I say funner.

From Wikipedia:

Food Party is an American television series, which airs on the IFC in the United States.^[1]

The show is a pseudo-reality cooking show filmed on an elaborate, technicolored cardboard kitchen set. Each episode features multi-course, out-of-this-world gourmet meals cooked up by hostess Thu Tran and a cast of colorful puppets for arriving "celebrity" guests^[2].

The show was originally produced and filmed in Cleveland for two web series based episodes, and later relocated to Brooklyn for the final web series episodes and six IFC produced shows^[3].

REMOVING YOUTUBE VIDS

As you may have heard Google, which owns Youtube, lost a case against Viacom and now have to turn over every Youtube viewer's IP address and viewing history. The info is to be used in a lawsuit against Google that Viacom has been pursuing for a year now. Full details can be found here.

As you may know I sometimes have vid clips from Youtube to showcase here, but due to recent events I am now removing all but indie produced vids off this blog. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause some.
