How to Make a Batarang
Here is a friggin' awesome tutorial on how to make a replica of the snap-action Batarang inspired from the Batman Arkham Asylum game. (h/t to Make Magazine)Full how-to here.
Note: Because this prop has the potential of injuring someone be sure to be responsible with the construction of this prop. Build it at your own risk. Just don't put someone's eye out with this.

Inspiration: Sorcery and Glue
Yesterday Kotaku posted this video of Cosplay genius Holly Condrad's audtion tape for a upcoming Comic Con documentary showcasing her love of costume design and peek at her Mass Effect project which includes a working animatronic of Grunt.
Despite my love of props and costumes I have never been into Cosplay, but damn I love the passion of it all, and Holly Conrad's website is chock full of awesome costumes and ideas. Seriously, go to her site, Sorcery and Glue, right now and stare in awe of all of the things she and her friends have made. Let's hope that she gets into that documentary too.
