So I've looked around a bit and found some places that are reasonable. The problem is that unless I plan on setting up some sort of freelance business on the side there is no way I can afford it. The idea for myself when it comes to making movies is to spend as little as possible.
I could ask around at the local filmmaker messageboards and what not to see if anyone has space to lease for dirt cheap, free, or to share. The problem with that is I would rather lease it myself with no strings attached. Asking to use someone else's place for cheap or free would be like owing my mom money knowing that at any moment she could bring it up to use it against me somehow. I don't like that feeling. I want no strings, no b.s., just a space to freely use.
The other idea is to create some sort of temporary modular studio. Something that can be put together and taken apart quickly and easily. I'm thinking PVC greenhouse or a variation on it.
